ABSTRACT:
Compounds having relatively long shelf lives in acidic aqueous media and which are useful as sweeteners have the formula ##STR1## or are pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein X is --OR or --NHR, or --NH.sub.2, with R being alkyl having 3-10 carbon atoms.
