A new series of compounds defined broadly as .alpha.,.alpha.,.alpha.',.alpha.'-tetrakis(4-hydroxy-3,5-disubstituted phenyl)-xylenes, which are useful as antioxidants for organic materials normally subject to oxidative deterioration, is disclosed.
