ABSTRACT:
A process for producing devices, e.g., magnetic bubble devices, with planar geometries yields advantageous properties. The process includes depositing a material such as a photolithographic resist in a desired pattern on an electrically insulating substrate, e.g., SiO.sub.2, etching the exposed areas of the insulating material, depositing an appropriate metal onto the etched regions, and then lifting off the initial resist deposition.
