ABSTRACT:
Mono- and di-2-hydroxyethane sulfonate derivatives and 2-aminoethane sulfonate derivatives of C.sub.21 -cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid having the general formula ##STR1## where x and y are integers from 3 to 9, x and y together equal 12, R is ##STR2## and M.sup.+ is an alkali metal, ammonium or amine cation, are disclosed as emulsion polymerization emulsifiers.
