ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a method of reducing banding problem in multi-diode raster scanning systems. In this invention a test mode is provided for measuring and adjusting the output power of the laser diodes. During the test mode an individual patch is used for the light beam of each diode to individually measure and adjust the output power of each laser diode. By individually adjusting the output power of each laser diode to a required level, the banding problem is substantially reduced.
