ABSTRACT:
An AC dynamo electric machine for a motor vehicle includes an AC dynamo machine body100composed of a rotor10constituted by a first rotatable shaft12supported rotatably by a pair of bearings16, 17, a rotor core8fixedly secured to the first rotatable shaft12and a field winding9wound on the rotor core8, a stator3composed of a stator core1disposed in opposition to the rotor10and a polyphase stator winding2wound on the stator core1and a bracket80supporting the pair of bearings16, 17and the stator3, and a rotational position detector for the control purpose composed of a second rotatable shaft30coupled to the first rotatable shaft12through a large magnetic reluctance portion32, 33, a second rotor21fixedly secured to the second rotatable shaft30and a second stator winding22afor generating an output voltage based on rotation of the second rotor21.
