ABSTRACT:
Benzene ring substituted benzimidazole-2-carbamate derivatives represented by the formula: ##STR1## where R is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and R.sup.1 is a fused, bicyclic heterocyclic ring moiety. The R.sup.1 S-substitution is at the 5(6)-position.
The compounds are useful as pesticides, particularly as anthelmintic and antifungal agents. The compounds are also useful as antiprotozoal agents, particularly against Trichomonas vaginalis.
