ABSTRACT:
The invention involves a method of preparing aluminum foil for use as an anode in electrolytic capacitors. The resultant electrolytic capacitor is improved by subjecting the etched aluminum foil to a heat treatment of 100.degree. to 600.degree. C. for about 10 seconds to 20 minutes prior to the treatment with nitric acid.
