In a mobile communication system1comprising a control station204, a base station201, and a mobile station202, in which the control station204sets a dedicated channel with the mobile station202via the base station201, the control station204comprises dedicated channel control means for performing a dedicated channel retention operation in which a second dedicated channel, which is different to a first dedicated channel, is set during communication through the first dedicated channel in such a manner that both the first and second dedicated channels are retained for a predetermined time period after the second dedicated channel is set.
