ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing a polyimine comprising reacting at least one dialdehyde with at least one diamine in a reaction medium of 100 to about 40 percent by volume of a phenolic compound of the formula, ##STR1## wherein X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and 0 to about 60 percent by volume of a liquid which is miscible with the phenolic compound.
