ABSTRACT:
A rubber composition comprising: 100 parts by weight of a rubber component and 35 to 100 parts by weight of a furnace carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N.sub.2 SA) of from 60 to 100 m.sup.2 /g, a dibutyl phthalate absorption (DBP) of from 90 to 150 ml/100 g, a .DELTA.DBP (DBP24M4DBP) of from 15 to 40 ml/100 g, an aggregate size distribution (.DELTA.Dst) of from 50 to 150 nm, and an intraaggregate pore mode diameter (D.sub.P) which satisfies the following formula:
