ABSTRACT:
A guitar having in the preferred embodiment a shielded electro-luminescent lamp located behind the plastic pickup guard material of the guard in a preselected configuration. The electro-luminescent lamps are encapsulated in appropriate shielding material to prevent interference with the guitar's amplifier circuitry and are driven by a shielded control circuit having a controllable flashing circuit.
