ABSTRACT:
An orthodontic appliance of the present invention has a combination of a bracket with a hook and a bracket without a hook.
The bracket with a hook includes a metal body formed with a groove therein adapted for being engaged with an arch wire and provided with a hook thereon, the hook is integrally formed with the metal body; and a synthetic resin housing for accommodating the metal body therein such that inner surface of the groove is exposed and at least top portion of the hook projects from the synthetic resin housing. The bracket without a hook includes a metal body formed with a groove therein adapted for being engaged with an arch wire; and a synthetic resin housing for accommodating the metal body therein such that inner surface of the groove is exposed.
