ABSTRACT:
A beam generating apparatus the combination comprising a first binary alloy target crystal consisting essentially of an alloy of copper and silver, for producing a primary x-ray beam; a second target crystal consisting essentially of copper in the path of the first x-ray beam and oriented to produce a CuK.alpha., radiation in response to impingement of the primary beam.
