The present invention provides a new diamino compound represented by the following general formula [I] or [X] excellent in charge transporting properties. ##STR1## The present invention provides a photosensitive member and an electroluminescence device both of which comprise the diamino compound of the general formula [I] or [X] as a charge transporting material.
