ABSTRACT:
The damping device has an elastic structure consisting of one or a number of segments of wire cable and provided with fasteners for interposing the structure between two elements. The structure is enclosed within a mass of elastomeric material which adheres to the structure and has a high internal damping coefficient. The mass is traversed by at least one bore so arranged that the elastic deformations sustained by the structure cause the elastomeric material to work in compression and/or in shear.
