ABSTRACT:
Processes for the preparation of 3-deoxy-1.alpha.-hydroxycholecalciferol and 3-deoxy-1.alpha.,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol, novel analogs of cholecalciferol possessing potent intestinal calcium transport stimulatory activity without significant concomitant bone calcium mobilizing activity, are disclosed.
