ABSTRACT:
A linear motor including a stator having a drive field magnet extending in a uniform direction, a movable piece including an armature coil opposed to the field magnet, and a carrying member carrying a predetermined portion of the stator, wherein the stator is provided with predetermined magnetic poles for driving the movable piece only at a range in which a change in the magnetic field by the influence of the carrying member is prevented or suppressed.
