ABSTRACT:
A chair comprising a supporting element adapted to tilt about a horizontal axis can be constructed in an ergometrically acceptable way when the supporting element is coupled with the frame through both a torsional spring and a gas spring. In this manner the supporting element can be simply set in the correct position.
