A drawing and ironing process is disclosed for making unitary can bodies from blackplate, or non-tinned steel, utilizing a novel composition comprising finely-divided molybdenum disulfide, an acrylic ester/acrylic acid polymer and a polyethylene or similar wax, in an aqueous medium.
