ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a novel thiazolidinedione derivative of the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and are a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, or a salt thereof. The thiazolidinedione derivative has hypoglycemic activity and hypolipidemic activity.
