ABSTRACT:
A combined drain and flood gate employed in irrigation and flood control systems and installed in a levee, bank, dam or the like separating two adjacent land areas for controlling water flow from one area to the other to maintain one area at a predetermined flood level or to completely drain one area into the other. The gate includes a vertically movable panel forming a gate in a spillway or passageway and a drain gate which can be opened and is at a lower level than the vertically movable gate for completely draining water from one area into another.
