ABSTRACT:
Cleaning imaging material from a xerographic imaging surface with a cleaning blade with reduced friction between the blade and the surface is provided without image degredation by an appropriately roughened surface, which roughness is formed on the photoconductive surface by substrate preetching to provide a final or post coated roughness pattern of 3 to 5 microns and less than 20 microns.
