ABSTRACT:
A dye-receiving element for thermal dye transfer comprising a support having thereon a polymeric dye image-receiving layer containing a phthalate ester having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having from about 6 to about 10 carbon atoms or an aralkyl group having from about 7 to about 12 carbon atoms.
