ABSTRACT:
An ink jet recording method which can realize a sharp image and ink dots having excellent circularity is disclosed. The ink jet recording method comprises the step of ejecting ink droplets of an ink composition onto a recording medium to form an ink image on the recording medium, the ink composition having a contact angle with a sized recording paper of 0.degree., as measured one sec after the initiation of contact of the ink composition with the sized recording paper, and containing not less than 60% by weight of water, the recording medium having an ink-repellent layer comprising a water-soluble silicone compound and/or a water-soluble fluorine compound.
