ABSTRACT:
A tubular rivet for blind placing comprises a cylindrical body 21, an externally thickened tail portion 34, and a head 22 with an internal taper 26 and external taper 25. The rivet is placed by pulling through it the head 42 of a mandrel, the head having a relatively steep taper 43 at the leading end.
