ABSTRACT:
Secondary amines having a hydrocarbon backbone, a functionality of at least 1 and a molecular weight of at least 74 are produced by reacting a hydrocarbon containing a leaving group with a primary amine, primary diamine, primary polyamine or ammonia at a temperature of from about 70.degree. to 250.degree. C.
