This invention relates to novel ortho-(azinyl)benzenesulfonamides, such as N-[(4-methoxy-6-methylpyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-2-(2-pyridinyl)benzene -sulfonamide, and their use as pre-emergent or post-emergent herbicides or plant growth regulants.
