ABSTRACT:
A process is disclosed for sequestering metal ions by treating said ions with a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R' is selected from the group consisting of .sup.- OH, alkyloxy and aryloxy; and R is selected from the group consisting of ##STR2## wherein Z is .sup.- OH, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy and aryloxy.
