ABSTRACT:
A stabilizer for polymeric substances made up of a sulfur-containing compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms and a phenolic compound of the general formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, in the ratio (I):(II) of 1:0.1-2 by weight.
The combination of the above stabilizer with a polymeric substance, such as synthetic rubber is also contemplated herein.
