ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to new piperidine compounds which act as light stabilisers, heat stabilisers and oxidation stabilisers for synthetic polymers, in particular for hydrocarbon polymers. The compounds are piperidinol carbamates of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and A have the meanings defined in the description and y is an integer from 1 to 4. In particular, A represents a monovalent to tetravalent radical, always bonded to the carboxy-piperidine radicals via nitrogen atoms.
