ABSTRACT:
Oligomers of the formula ##STR1## wherein Y.sub.1 is hydrogen or --CO--T.sub.1, R.sub.1 Q.sub.1 and T.sub.1 are alkyl and n.sub.1 is 1 to 16, or alkali metal salts thereof, are used as stabilizers in peroxide-containing alkaline liquors for bleaching cellulosic fibre materials.
