ABSTRACT:
A UV light-absorbing skin-protecting composition which comprises an acrylic copolymer comprising (A) a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, X is a group of the formula: ##STR2## in which R.sup.2 is a hydroxy group, R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom or hydroxy group, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are the same or different and each is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group or a sulfonamide group and R.sup.6 is a single bond or a methylene group,
