ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is an internal combustion engine having a combustion heater wherein, in the case of attaching a supercharger to a intake path of the internal combustion engine, the combustion heater provided on a intake path can be surely ignited, and the intake air can be prevented from flowing back within the intake path even when the supercharger operates. The vaporizing type combustion heater is connected in bypass via an air supply path, a combustion chamber body and a burned gas discharging path as components thereof to a intake pipe of the internal combustion engine, through which the intake air flows towards cylinders of the engine. A compressor of a turbo charger is not provided between a connecting point to the air supply path and a connecting point to the burned gas discharging path along the intake pipe.
