ABSTRACT:
A composite organic filament comprises an organic resin matrix and extrafine inorganic fiber-like segments having a diameter of 1 .mu.m or less and uniformly distributed throughout the organic resin filament matrix. The composite filament has a diameter of 3 to 500 .mu.m, and the fiber-like segments comprise carbon fibers produced by a vapor phase growth process and potassium titanate whiskers.
