ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for automatically searching a desired track position or one or a plurality of recording regions on an information recording medium which comprises pre-recorded tracks pre-recorded with an information signal and unrecorded tracks. The search is carried out based on the existence and non-existence of a reproduced radio frequency (RF) signal which is reproduced from the information recording medium.
