ABSTRACT:
A boot for constant-velocity universal joint comprises a major-diameter cylindrical portion2, a minor-diameter cylindrical portion3being separated away from and being put in place concentrically with the major-diameter cylinder portion2, and having a smaller diameter than that of the major-diameter cylindrical portion2, and an intermediate portion10connecting the major-diameter cylindrical portion2with the minor-diameter cylindrical portion3. The intermediate portion10comprises a stretchable bellows portion19being connected with the minor-diameter cylindrical portion3integrally, and a rigidity-producing portion11being connected with the bellows portion19and the major-diameter cylindrical portion2integrally. The rigidity-producing portion11enlarges diametrically from the bellows portion19toward the major-diameter cylindrical portion2, and additionally at least an outer peripheral surface101of the rigidity-producing portion11has a plurality of shoulders61in a stepwise manner. By means of the rigidity-producing portion11, the rigidity at around the major-diameter cylindrical portion is enhanced, and thereby it is possible to suppress deformation at the time of assembling.
