ABSTRACT:
In a structure in which a gear train5, 6of a developer supply container1is locked by a locking member7, and by the gear train5, 6receiving a drive from a gear12of the developer receiving apparatus, the setting rotation of the developer supply container1is automatically carried out, the setting rotation of the developer supply container1is not possible if a releasing projection5ais at a position interfering a locking member7. In view of this, the gear5is rotated to effect the locking member7to lock by abutment of an engaging portion5dof the gear5to an engaging portion13aof the developer receiving apparatus10with inserting operation of developer supply container1. Therefore, upon completion of the insertion of the developer supply container1, the gear train5, 6is locked by the locking member7, and therefore, the setting rotation of the developer supply container1can be carried out properly.
