An image forming apparatus for forming images with a toner and includes an image forming section, a paper feeding section and an image reading section, in which the non-magnetic toner is as follows: the particle size D10Vand the particle size D90Vof the toner satisfy the following formula (1), the particle size D50Vis from 5 to 8 μm, and the content of the toner particles having a particle size of at most 5 μm is from 15 to 35% by number:in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?0.415≦(D10V−D90V)/D10V≦0.475 (1)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein D10V, D50Vand D90Veach are a particle size where a cumulative volume from the large particle size side in the cumulative volume distribution of the toner particles reaches 10%, 50% and 90%, respectively.
