ABSTRACT:
A portable wireless apparatus has an antenna capable of resonating in frequency bands of various communication systems. The portable wireless apparatus comprises an upper case5; a lower case4pivotably connected to the upper case5; a circuit board1formed with wireless circuits14to18and a grounded planar conductor electrically connected to one ends of the wireless circuits14to18; a planar conductor2provided in the upper case5and having a feed section electrically connected to the other ends of the wireless circuits14to18; and a conductive element3provided in the upper case5and spaced from the planar conductor2, the conductive element3having a length different from the length of the planar conductor2wherein the planar conductor2and the grounded planar conductor function as a dipole antenna, and the conductive element3functions as a parasitic element electromagnetically coupled with the dipole antenna.
