ABSTRACT:
An automotive vehicle suspension having a damper with variable damping characteristics, specifically, an adjustable damping force. A controller responds to an application and release of the vehicle brakes by increasing the damping force, to suppress nose-dive of the vehicle at the beginning of braking and to suppress pitching motion of the vehicle at the end of braking.
