A constant velocity joint1disposed on the outboard side of a drive axle for transmitting drive power to a wheel, comprising an outer joint member2having a plurality of track grooves3on the spherical inner peripheral surface2a, an inner joint member4having a plurality of track grooves5on the spherical outer peripheral surface4a, torque transmitting balls6disposed in a plurality of ball tracks formed by the opposed track grooves3and5of both joint members2and4, and a cage8interposed between both joint members2and4and receiving and holding the torque transmitting balls6in pockets7, wherein the outboard-side end of the cage8is formed with an opening8xfor removably inserting the inner joint member4and the inboard-side end is formed with an opening8ywhose diameter is smaller than that of the outboard-side opening8x.
