The present invention provides a highly operable easy-to-use camera having a simple configuration without losing a locking function. In a camera comprising: a rotary operation dial7to be operated rotationally; a lock arm5for locking the rotary operation dial7relative to a predetermined position; and a body case2to be fitted with the rotary operation dial7and the lock arm5, a rotary operation portion71of the rotary operation dial7and a button operation portion51of the lock arm5are disposed in proximity to each other on adjacent faces of the body case2;a lock groom73formed in a predetermined position of a lower face rib72of the rotary operation dial7,the lower face rib72lying inside the body case2, is arranged in such a manner that a fitting portion53of the lock arm5can be fitted thereinto; and an urging means9for urging the lock arm5from inside to outside of the body case2is provided.
