ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to diazaphospholanes and diazaphosphorinanes of the formula I ##STR1## in which m is 0 or 1, n is 1 or 2 and R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 are as defined in claim 1. These compounds are effective light stabilizers for organic materials, especially for polymers. In addition, they can also possess an antioxidant and/or a flame retardant action. They can be obtained from the corresponding diamines by a cyclization reaction with the phosphorus dichlorides R.sup.3 P(O).sub.m Cl.sub.2.
