ABSTRACT:
Aminopeptidase inhibitory activity is exhibited by compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, carboxyalkyl, halo-substituted alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, aminoalkyl, mercaptoalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, (cycloalkyl)alkyl, (heteroaryl)alkyl, arylalkyl, carbamoylalkyl, guanidinylalkyl or heteroaryl; and
