ABSTRACT:
When a PDP10is produced by superposing, and fixing, a front plate16and a rear plate18on, and to, each other, a sheet member20including an X wiring layer36and a Y wiring layer40is fixed to the front plate16or the rear plate18, so that X electrodes46and Y electrodes48are provided in respective discharge spaces24. Thus, the X electrodes46and the Y electrodes48can be assembled with the front and rear plates16, 18, by just placing the sheet member20between the two plates16, 18. Therefore, in the PDP10, the front plate16, the rear plate18, and the discharge electrodes46, 48are free of distortions resulting from a heat treatment that would otherwise be carried out to form the electrodes.
