ABSTRACT:
A light emitting device includes a first patterned electrode12and a second patterned electrode13both of which are formed on a wiring board11,an LED chip19mounted on the second patterned electrode13,a metal wire20electrically connecting the LED chip19and the first patterned electrode12to each other, and a lens member21made of a transparent synthetic resin for packaging the LED chip19and the metal wire20.The first patterned electrode12is circular and formed with a cutout14at the center thereof. The second patterned electrode13is arranged in the cutout14.With this arrangement, the lens member21can be formed into a predetermined configuration, while the reflection of light by the patterned electrodes can be ensured.
