ABSTRACT:
The invention provides methionyl tRNA synthetase (tRS) enzymes fromStaphylococcus aureusand methods of producing such tRS by recombinant techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing tRS for the protection against infection, particularly bacterial infection, most particularlyStaphylococcus aureusinfection.
