An electrically-driven fan1comprises a base portion2; a bearing portion11; a stator13including iron core portions15and coils16; a rotor4including a rotary shaft20and a cylindrical magnet22; blowing blades5; and a rotor position detector23which is disposed on a side of the cylindrical magnet22near to the base portion2, with a gap of predetermined width relative to the cylindrical magnet22; wherein the cylindrical magnet22includes a thin-walled portion24in which an effective thickness of one end part thereof near to the rotor position detector23is made smaller than an effective thickness of the other end part thereof.
