A rotor to be driven in rotation about a central axis of rotation (A) is provided with a number n of seats for receiving a product to be centrifuged, the seats being arranged eccentrically relative to the axis of rotation. The geometric image (I) of at least a first seat, through a geometric rotation about the central axis of rotation (A) in a first direction of rotation and an angle of 360°
, is different from a second seat which directly follows the first seat in the first direction of rotation.
